Two new partners support Deloitte Cyprus

Deloitte Cyprus is strengthened with two new partners. These are Michalis-Aris Michailidis, who undertakes a Partner in the Department of Tax and Legal Services, and Kalliopi Nikolaidou, who joined as a Partner in Hatzianastasiou, Ioannidis D.E.P.E. (member of the Deloitte Legal network). The two new partners took office on 1 June and their contribution to the further development of Deloitte will be significant .

Mr. Michailidis has 12 years of experience with Deloitte, specializing in providing consulting services in matters of tax planning and compliance. Its clientele includes individuals, companies and international groups with a wide range of activities.

He started his career at Deloitte UK in London, while in 2011 he joined the Deloitte Cyprus team. He holds a B.Sc. (First Class) in Mathematics & Economics from University College London (UCL) and an M.Phil in Finance from the University of Cambridge. He is an Certified Public Accountant (ICAEW) and has received the Advanced Diploma in International Taxation (ADIT) with distinction. He is a member of the Cyprus Association of Chartered Accountants (SELK) and a member of the Tax Planning and Policy Committee of SELK.

Kalliopi Nikolaidou

Ms. Nikolaidou will focus on the financial services sector. Has 15 years of experience in the fields of public and private mergers and acquisitions, international and Cypriot financing, as well as advising on the banking institutional framework.

Prior to joining Deloitte Legal, he served as Chief Legal Officer at Hellenic Bank for six years. She began her career in London, where she worked for Allen & Ovey LLP and investment management company Aspect Capital Limited. He holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Commenting on the inclusion of the two new partners in the Deloitte Cyprus team, Pieris Markou, Chief Executive Officer, said: “In a large organization like Deloitte, we need a strong leadership team to achieve our ambitious goals and I am sure that both “Our new partners will make a decisive contribution in this direction.”
