On Monday, the Police arrested two persons, aged 23 and 21, as part of an investigation into a case of attempted murder, which was committed on Sunday night in the Morphou area. Both were taken into custody.
According to an announcement by the Police, “around 11 p.m. yesterday, information was received about an injured person, aged 33, in a house in the Morphou area”.
The 33-year-old was taken by ambulance to the Nicosia General Hospital, where he was detained for treatment, while according to with the evidence under investigation, he was allegedly hit with a cleaver and an iron pipe, on his body and head.
During the examinations, testimony emerged against a 23-year-old and a 21-year-old, the who were arrested today at noon with judicial arrest warrants and taken into custody, to facilitate investigations.
The Peristeronas Police Station is investigating the case.
