The National Vaccination Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health has made two recommendations for receiving a booster dose of vaccine in specific groups of the population.

1st Recommendation for a 3rd vaccine dose
< p>The National Vaccination Advisory Committee recommends the administration of a booster/3rd dose of vaccine to individuals 12 years of age and older with MRNA technology vaccines, assuming that a period of six (6) months has elapsed since receiving the 2nd dose.
It is understood that the validity of the European Digital Certificate (SafePass) is not affected in case of not receiving a booster dose.
2nd Recommendation for 4th vaccine dose
The National Vaccination Advisory Committee recommends the booster/4th dose of vaccine to people over the age of 70, provided that the period of five months has elapsed since receiving the booster/3rd dose.
Also, to independent age, meaning that the period of five months has elapsed from the receipt of the support/3rd dose, namely:
Residents and workers of nursing homes and other closed structures, health professionals and immunosuppressed persons. p>
For immunosuppressed individuals, reference is made to individuals undergoing active treatment for solid tumors and haematological malignancies, with a history of solid organ transplantation receiving immunosuppressive therapy, with a history of transplantation of primary hematopoietic organs,/AIDS and people on immunosuppressive therapy including biological agents, in terms of cortisone intake refers to people who have received or are receiving a total dose of 10 mg prednisone/day (= 8 mg methylprednisolone) for one (1) month in the last six months, with renal insufficiency undergoing dialysis or peritoneal dialysis.
It is understood that the validity of the European Digital Certificate (SafePass) is not affected in case of not receiving a booster/4th dose.
According to the announcement of the Ministry , the recommendations of the National Vaccination Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Health, will be ratified by the Council of Ministers at the next meeting.
