Their contribution to linking universities with the labor market is enormous.
An award ceremony for companies for their contribution to the “University Linkage Offices with the Labor Market” Project took place on Thursday, April 6 2023, the Liaison Office of UCLan Cyprus University.
During the event, which was held at UCLan Cyprus University in Larnaca, five businesses were awarded that have substantially contributed to the purpose of the Project.
In particular, the following companies were awarded:
- Ad Tag Global Ad Solutions Ltd
- Swissport Cyprus Ltd
- MANGAZA HOLDINGS LTD
- XTC Fitness
- Reflex Gym
The Ad Tag Global Ad Solutions Ltd award was received by Mr. Christos Nikolaou, Swissport Cyprus Ltd was represented at the event by Ms. Andri Petrou, the award on behalf of MANGAZA HOLDINGS LTD was received by Ms. Angelina Sergi Christofi, while the Mr. Christos Xenophontos received an award from XTC Fitness and Mr. Savvas Katsouris from Reflex Gym.
The representatives of the awarded organizations expressed their thanks to the British University of Cyprus for the cooperation, stressing that they expect it to continue.
Preceded by an introduction by the Coordinator of the Award Ceremony, Dr. Eva Karagianni, Executive of the Liaison Office of the University of UCLan Cyprus, who mentioned the importance of the Project, highlighting at the same time, the goals of the Liaison Office, as well as her satisfaction with the collaborations with the companies that make up the labor market.
This was followed by a greeting from the Dean of the School of Management and Business and President of the Student Welfare Committee of UCLan Cyprus University, Professor Loukas Glyptis, who, among other things, welcomed the cooperation between the University and the companies, emphasizing the benefits of the Project, both for the students, as well as for the society itself and wished that it would continue in the next year as well.
The event ended with a reception.
