Books in the Ukrainian language will be donated to the Municipal Library of Strovolos by the Embassy of Ukraine with the aim of supporting Ukrainians living in Cyprus and mainly, within the municipal boundaries of Strovolos. The handover ceremony will take place next month.
An announcement from the Strovolos City Hall states that the mayor, Andreas Papacharalambous, welcomed the Ambassador of Ukraine to Cyprus, Nimchynskyi Ruslan, to the offices of the Municipality, as part of his ceremonial visit.
During the meeting, Mr. Ambassador referred to the current situation in Ukraine and the unfavorable conditions experienced by Ukrainian citizens, expressing his gratitude for the humanitarian aid provided by the Republic of Cyprus to support Ukrainian citizens, as well as the thousands of Ukrainians seeking temporary protection in Cyprus.
In this context, it was agreed to include books in the Ukrainian language in the Strovolos Municipal Library, which the Embassy of Ukraine will kindly donate to the Municipality, with the aim of supporting Ukrainians living in Cyprus and mainly, within the municipal boundaries of Strovolos. The book delivery ceremony will take place on December 8, 2022, at the Strovolos Municipal Library.
