The UN General Assembly passed an overwhelming resolution calling for an end to the war in Ukraine and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
By 141 votes to 5 ( Russia, Syria, North Korea, Belarus and Eritrea) and 35 abstentions, passed the resolution, with the representatives of the countries standing applauding the announcement of the result.

At the same time, the resolution “requires” Russia to immediately and unconditionally revoke the recognition of the territories Donetsk and Lugansk and calls on all sides to leave an open and safe passage for civilians to escape.
