Vaccinations to deal with the coronavirus pandemic are unfortunately moving at a snail's pace, the Union of Cypriot Pensioners (EKYSY) said in a statement.
EKYSY expresses its great concern for the planning that has been done so far for the vaccinations for the treatment of COVID-19 and for the obligation to register electronically by the elderly.
He also states that the information campaign of the Ministry should be improved. Health and help the elderly to arrange appointments for their vaccination.
“The process that is followed, however, that is, whoever succeeds, we consider that it is not the right one for the elderly 80 years and older who do not have the ability to handle the electronic means on their own”, it is added.
There are other ways, as mentioned, to make an appointment for vaccination through data that personal doctors have, such as the Insurance Company, and therefore vaccinations can be planned.
EKYSY considers that the Government should act in a way to ensure more vaccines as soon as possible and to be vaccinated in regional health centers to facilitate the elderly.
