On the occasion of the International Day of Juvenile Rheumatic Diseases, the Cyprus Association of Rheumatologists (SyReK) organized on March 11 a symbolic cycling event entitled “Cycling with the Children” in the Holy Metropolis of Tamassos and Orini with the aim of enlightening the public about the importance of early diagnosis for childhood rheumatism.

Universal Life, as a Chronic Sponsor of SyReK for the last 20 years, responded to the call to support the event, thus taking another step forward for a society without prejudices that accepts young people with rheumatic diseases, and in this way contributing to the achievement of objectives of SyReK.

The event which included, among other things, symbolic children's cycling in the area as well as the presentation of the fairy tale “My friend NIA.RA” by Ms. Athanasia Pappa, author and President of the Hellenic Anti-Rheumatic Society, was greeted by His Eminence the Metropolitan of Tamassos and Orini, Mr. Isaias, representative of the Ministry of Education, as well as the coordinator of the Group of Parents and Children with Juvenile Rheumatic Diseases, Ms. Theognosia of Apostolos

Universal Life, having health as the cornerstone of its actions regarding Corporate Social Responsibility and with a particular sensitivity to issues concerning the enlightenment and information of the public, supports the Rheumatoid Association of Cyprus through time by making putting into practice its commitment to a better society that accepts people with rheumatic diseases and provides them with the supplies for a better and more qualitative life.
