The establishment of a Medical School, but also a School of Engineering, are the next goals of the University of Neapolis Paphos, after this first 10 years of operation. The plans for the future and the evaluation of the course of the academic institution so far were made by the President of the University Council, George Leptos and the Rector Pantelis Sklias, during an event that took place on Wednesday night at the Coral Beach Hotel. & Nbsp;
Mr. Leptos stressed that inspired by the vision of its founder and first President, the late Michalakis G. Leptos, Neapolis Paphos bases its course on pillars of stability, development, academic avant-garde and international recognition based on affordable excellence. with academic excellence and sensitivity for his student community.

“A university can be sustainable, but under many conditions,” he said. “And to achieve this, the University of Naples Paphos must be an international university, a fact that is already achieved through its cooperation with many foreign academic institutions.” & Nbsp;
The Rector of the University, Pantelis Sklias, announced that the goal in the coming years is to establish a Medical School and a School of Engineering. He stressed that it is already the largest university institution in the Republic of Cyprus in terms of employment and one of the largest in terms of employment in the Eastern Mediterranean.
“In this first 10 years of creative academic operation and contribution to local communities and Cypriot economy in general “, he stressed,” we register more than 6,000 graduates at Bachelor, Postgraduate and Doctoral level, while more than 92% of these graduates have direct employment, with a large part of them even before graduation.
< In addition, about 80% of students during their studies do their internship and at the same time are employed. The University employs 75 staff as administrative staff and 250 academics as teaching and research staff, with 3,500 enrolled students, of whom 10% come from third countries, 40% from Cyprus and 50% from Greece. .
Our goal, he concluded, is in the coming years the establishment of the Medical School and the School of Mechanical Engineering, in parallel with maintaining the quality that we have currently acquired.
