With the vaccination of 7,780 people, the implementation of the National Vaccination Plan for COVID-19 continued during the week of January 23-29. In particular, the 3,494 vaccinations concerned the administration of the 2nd dose to health professionals of OKYPY and the private sector, residents and staff of nursing homes in all Provinces. Therefore, the total number of people who completed their vaccination is 5,551 .
During the same period, the first dose was given to 4,296 people, with the total number of those vaccinated with the first dose being 19,617 .
The National Vaccination Plan for COVID-19 continues with the availability from Monday, February 1, at 9 am, of another 3,904 appointments. People over the age of 84 who have not made an appointment in the previous weeks or have not already been vaccinated will have access to the Vaccination Portal from February 1. The appointments concern the period from the 8th to the 12th of February. It is noted that the 3,904 appointments are in addition to the appointments that were not sold out in the previous days.
It is recommended to the citizens who belong to the age sub-group that has priority for vaccination, to make appointments at the first available time and time, so that there is a continuous flow in the Vaccination Centers.
Depending on the rate of out-of-date appointments for people over the age of 84, citizens will be informed through an announcement about the availability of appointments in the next age sub-groups. Citizens are invited to follow the announcements of the Ministry of Health, in order to know the differences in the age group and to make an appointment.
At the same time, from February 8, at the Linopetra Vaccination Center in Limassol, two workshops will operate for the better service of the citizens. In total, the vaccinations are carried out in 10 Vaccination Centers all over Cyprus by 19 total workshops. Vaccinations are carried out simultaneously by five mobile units, one in each Province, covering vaccinated nursing homes, health infrastructure and mountainous / remote areas.
