“Volunteer Days” of the PwC Foundation

For 2023, the organization decided not to send gifts to clients and partners but instead to donate the corresponding amount to the link “A Dream A Wish”.

The PwC Foundation is currently organizing 'Volunteer Days', a week of selfless giving to society. From Monday 4 December to Friday 8 December, including Tuesday 5 December which is World Volunteer Day, 220 PwC volunteers are actively involved in 13 different activities. These efforts underline PwC Cyprus' commitment to a lasting positive impact on the community through the PwC Foundation.

The activities implemented include:

● Karaiskakei Calendar Foundation: The PwC Foundation has adopted Monday, December 4 in the Karaiskakei Foundation's Christmas Countdown Calendar, supporting its patients.

● Candies for Alkyonides: PwC Cyprus volunteers make candies and festive treats to support the Alkyonides Foundation.

● Support for SPAVO: Collection of clothes and other goods at the organization's offices in Nicosia and Limassol for the Association that focuses on the Prevention and Treatment of Violence in the Family.

● Sophia Foundation Christmas Bazaar for Children: Held at the PwC offices in Nicosia to support children in need.

● 2nd Chance Dogs: PwC volunteers interact with shelter dogs to strengthen their sociability, thus contributing to the effort to be adopted.

● Evangelism Special School: Our volunteers paint the walls of the special school, offering a happy and festive touch.

● Aradippou Farm : Volunteers help maintain the farm and take care of the animals.

● Expansion of “Unique Smiles” facilities: Volunteers help shape the environment and organize the outdoor spaces for the organization's children and parents.

● Hugs of Life Bazaar: Fundraising event at PwC headquarters . The proceeds will be allocated to the supply of school equipment, mental health seminars and other humanitarian aid.

● Cleaning of the Agios Dimitrios park: A joint initiative with the Strovolos Municipality and NGOs that help children with cancer, with the aim of revitalizing the park near Makarios Hospital. This will create a welcoming space for children and their loved ones.

● Blood donation: At our offices in Nicosia and Limassol.

● Cooperation with the Cyprus Red Cross – Branch Nicosia: Sorting and distribution of clothes donated by citizens.

● Support Movember: Mo-Bros members of PwC Cyprus grow and then shave their mustaches to support the Movember Cyprus men's health awareness campaign.

Special initiative: A dream, a wish

In addition to the above actions, PwC Cyprus in collaboration with the PwC Foundation supports the association “One Dream, One Wish”, fulfilling the wishes of children with cancer and related diseases.
