The family of the deceased took the decision to donate the organs of the unfortunate SYOP Panagiotis Gianniou.
RIK journalist Stavros Kyprianou in a post on Twitter wrote "The family of Mr. Giannis Giannios in their unbearable pain found the strength to bridge life with Death, giving hope to patients in Cyprus and Greece. The message is clear! As long as there are donors, life will go on! As long as there are donors, there will be Angels.
The post is accompanied by a video of Mr. Giannis Gianniou, who speaks to the RIK camera about the family's decision.
Specifically, Mr. Giannios mentioned that Panagiotis was a young man very giving to his friends, colleagues and all people. "When we were told that Panagiotis was brain dead, my wife and I looked at each other, exchanged a few words and quickly came to the decision to donate Panagiotis' organs to other people who needed it.
It is recalled that Panagiotis Giannios met a tragic death while on duty last July.
