The public consultation of the draft amendment of the Motor Vehicles and Traffic Movements concerning the vehicles with collision damages, flood, hailstorm, fire or any other event is in progress. The purpose of the regulation is to eliminate the phenomenon of the sale and consequently the purchase of vehicles which were involved in collisions and which suffered serious damage to the body, and then were repaired. The effort made by the Ministry of Transport is to reduce as much as possible the number of damaged vehicles which are repaired, but then bought by citizens without their knowledge. The draft, according to the Road Transport Department, was put to public consultation on 17/01/2022 for opinions and interested parties can send their opinions, if they wish, no later than 14/03/2022.
