Gains for the 11th consecutive session were recorded on Friday by the Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE), while on a weekly basis the General Index recorded big gains at 12.06%.

On Friday, the General Index closed with an increase of 1.02% to 116.54 points, driven mainly by the gains in the shares of Investment Companies. The FTSE/CySE 20 Index gained 1.06% to close at 70.52 points. The value of the transactions amounted to €640,767.

The biggest gains were recorded by Investment companies by 3.94%, while the Main Market increased by 1.47%. An increase of 0.62% was recorded by the Alternative Market, while Hotels closed unchanged.

Bank of Cyprus securities attracted the most investment interest with €230,396 (down 1.41% – closing price €2.79). The shares of Logicom followed with €192,609 (up 3.81% – closing price €2.18), Hellenic Bank with €119,401 (up 2.36% – closing price €1.95), Dimitra Investments with €46,578 (up 4.17% – closing price €0.62) and Salamis Tours with €23,676 (up 1.82% – closing price €0.55).

Of the stocks traded, nine advanced, two declined and three remained unchanged. The number of transactions amounted to 235.

At the same time, the Cyprus Stock Exchange announces that the securities of the listed company Yoda Plc, which are traded on the NEW Market of the CSE, will be presented with the symbol (S) on the trading tables and price lists, from Tuesday, February 28, 2023, in view of the announcement of this company (dated 23/02/2023), regarding the decision of its Board of Directors for the reverse acquisition of the company VYP Group Ltd by Yoda Plc.

He also announced the suspension of the trading of the shares of the company A.J. Green Shell Plc from Thursday, March 2, 2023 to Monday, March 6, 2023 (inclusive), due to the reverse split of the nominal value of the company's share (reverse split from €7.00 to €35.00) with a record date of March 1, 2023. The re-trading of this company's shares will begin on March 7, 2023. The shares will trade under a new ISIN code, which will be announced after the completion of the reverse split.

The CSE also announced the continuation of the suspension of trading of the securities of the following companies, following a decision of the Capital Market Commission which was taken based on the authority granted to it by article 70(2)(m) of the Investment Services and Activities and of the Regulated Markets Law of 2017, as applicable from time to time:

2. Regallia Holdings & Investments Public Ltd

3. Aiantas Investment Public Ltd

4. Cyprus Trading Corporation Plc

5. Ermes Department Stores Plc

6. Woolworth (Cyprus) Properties Plc
