What dates are considered for benefits / allowances / pensions

The Social Security Services, in an effort to further serve the citizens, issue on a weekly basis an announcement regarding the date of examination of the applications received and concerning Pensions / Allowances / Benefits.

1. UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFIT:

• The applications of those employees whose employment was terminated and their unemployment period started on 26/10/2020 are examined.

• The cases of those who already receive unemployment benefit, which concerns the unemployment period November – December 2020, are examined.

2. PAYMENT DUE TO SURPLUS: Applications submitted in December 2019 are considered. It is noted that there are a number of applications submitted before the above date for which the examination can not be completed because the employers have not yet sent the details they have been asked.

3. INSURANCE ALLOWANCE: The received applications are examined until 10/08/2020.

4. DISABILITY PENSION: Applications received in September 2020 are examined, provided that they have been sent to a Medical Council.

5. DISABILITY PENSION: The received applications are examined August – September 2020 as they have been sent to the Medical Council.

6. BODY DAMAGE ALLOWANCE: Applications received in December 2020 are examined.

7. SECONDARY MEDICAL COUNCIL: The hierarchical appeals of January – February 2020 are examined.

8. INSTITUTIONAL PENSION: The received applications for which the applicants are entitled in July 2020 are examined.

9. SOCIAL PENSION: The received applications for which the applicants acquire the right of July 2020 are examined.

10. WIDOW PENSION:

• For cases where the deceased spouse did not receive a statutory pension, the received applications for September 2020 are examined.

• For cases where the deceased spouse received a statutory pension, the applications received in July 2020 are examined.

• With the enactment of the Amending Law 126 (I) / 2019 on Social Insurance on 05/08/2019, the received applications, by male applicants, of 2019 and 2020 are examined.

11. FUNERAL AID:

• For the cases where the deceased received a widow's pension, the received applications in August 2020 are examined.

• For cases where the deceased received a statutory pension, did not have a spouse and the request for funeral assistance comes from another person who undertook the funeral expenses, the received applications in August 2020 are examined.

• For the cases where the deceased received a social pension, the received applications of July 2020 are examined.

• For other cases (eg the deceased was / was not retired and had a spouse, the deceased was not retired and did not have a spouse, the deceased was a young person, unmarried, and the application comes from the parent or his / her siblings, the deceased was missing) applications received in July 2020 are examined.

12. ORPHANSY ALLOWANCE: Applications received October – November 2020 are examined.

13. BIRTH AID: The received applications are examined until 17/07/2020.

14. MATERNITY ALLOWANCE:

• For the first payment, the received applications are examined until 04/09/2020.

• For continuous payments, applications are considered for which the necessary information has been provided (eg birth declaration) received in September 2020.

15. FATHERHOOD ALLOWANCE: The received applications are examined until 23/04/2020.

16. Applications for statutory pension, widowhood and incapacity paid under bilateral conventions and European Union Regulation 883/04:

• Institutional Pension: Examines applications for which responses have been received regarding details, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions, for applicants born in 1954–1956.

• Disability Pension: Applications received in December 2020 are reviewed.

• Widow's Pension: Examines the applications received in December 2020 for which answers have been received regarding data, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions.

• Orphan Allowance: Examines applications received in May 2020 for which responses have been received regarding details, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions.

17. Criminal Cases: In November 2020 (latest data) 517 criminal cases were pending, of which 245 concerned employers and 272 concerned self-employed.
