For the approval of the state budget by the Parliament, the President of the Republic, Nikos Anastasiadis, made a written statement.
Specifically, he mentioned:
I would like to thank DISY, the KS EDEK, the Solidarity Movement, the Cooperation of Democratic Forces, the Citizens' Alliance and ELAM who contributed with their proposals to the formation of the final proposal that was approved and prevented with their positive vote one new crisis in the country.

I believe that their creative attitude – despite any of our political differences – is a contribution to progress and is for them a sign of political maturity and patriotic behavior.
With the adoption of the budget today in Parliament, we can now coordinate to use all the opportunities provided to us, to focus on solving the problems facing the country, in the midst of an unprecedented pandemic and to use the opportunities we have for development and prosperity. We can now support the health system, continue to upgrade our hospitals, support businesses and employees, stand by our vulnerable fellow citizens.
