Cyprus has not opposed any EU sanctions against Russia, including cutting the country off from the international SWIFT payment system, Finance Minister Konstantinos Petridis said in a Twitter post.
“EU leaders have responded to illegal Russian military action in Ukraine with economic sanctions on Russia. In the name of EU unity and solidarity with the Ukrainian people, Cyprus has not opposed any EU sanctions, including cutting off Russia from Swift. “Everything is on the table”, says Mr. Petridis.
