The main candidates for the Presidency of the Republic, Averof Neophytou, Andreas Mavroyiannis and Nikos Christodoulidis, had their last telefight on the state channel on Wednesday night.

The three candidates were asked about the possibility of electoral failure in the first round and what they will do in the second round.

Mr. Mavroyiannis initially replied that his voters are mature and he trusts their judgment. He added that he cannot answer whether he will support one of Averof Neophytou or Nikos Christodoulidis. "I am grateful to have the support of the great party of the left. They have their own procedures. What I will say is how they should evaluate their options.

For his part, Nikos Christodoulidis said that they are very optimistic that they will be in the second round and that they will win the elections. "These are the messages I get. It doesn't bother me. But in such a case I will position myself publicly.

Finally, Averof Neophytou said that the stake of the elections is whether the country will be kept on a stable course with security and perspective. "With humility and modesty, I will repeat that we went to the elections to win them, with national justice and social justice as a priority. We have a party with institutions and procedures.
