The Council of Ministers met this afternoon, at the Presidential Palace, under the Chairmanship of the President of the Republic, Speaker of the House of Representatives Ms. Annita Dimitriou, to take decisions after the death of the Archbishop Cyprus Chrysostomou B’, for the measures with which he will honor the extradited person.
The Council of Ministers, after observing a minute's silence in memory of the Archbishop of Cyprus, took, following a proposal from the President of the Republic, the following decisions:
1. The declaration of public mourning from today, Monday, November 7 until the day of the funeral, Saturday, November 12. During the period of public mourning, the flag of the Republic of Cyprus will be flown at half-mast in all schools and government buildings. It should be noted that schools will operate normally.

2. During the public mourning all official events are postponed. The participation of members of the Government and state officials in public events is also postponed.
3. The President of the Republic, the members of the Council of Ministers, the Government Representative, the Deputy Minister to the President, the Deputy Government Representative and the Director of the Office of the President of the Republic will attend the funeral.
4. The President of the Republic, the members of the Council of Ministers, the Deputy Ministers, the Government Representative will sign the book of condolences for the death of the Archbishop.
5. A funeral will be delivered by the President of the Republic.
