Which applications for Pensions / Allowances are under consideration

The Social Security Services, in an effort to further serve the citizens, issue on a weekly basis an announcement regarding the date of examination of the applications received and concerning Pensions / Allowances / Benefits.

1. Unemployment Benefit:

The applications of those employees whose employment was terminated and their unemployment period began on 06/11/2020 are being examined.

The cases of those who already receive unemployment benefit, which concerns the unemployment period December 2020 – January 2021, are examined.

2. Overpayment payment: Applications submitted in December 2019 are examined. It is noted that, there are a number of applications submitted before the above date for which the examination can not be completed because the employers have not yet sent the information they have been asked.

3. Sickness Allowance: The received applications are examined until 04/09/2020.

4. Disability Pension: The applications received in October 2020 are examined, provided that they have been sent to a Medical Council.

5. Disability Pension: The received applications for August – September 2020 are examined as they have been sent to the Medical Council.

6. Injury Allowance: Applications received in December 2020 are examined.

7. Secondary Medical Council: The hierarchical appeals of January – February 2020 are examined.

8. Institutionalized Pension: The received applications for which the applicants acquire the right July – August 2020 are examined.

9. Social Pension: The received applications for which the applicants are entitled July – August 2020 are examined.

10. Widow's Pension:

For cases where the deceased spouse did not receive a statutory pension, the received applications are examined September – October 2020.

For cases where the deceased spouse received a statutory pension, the applications received in August 2020 are examined.

With the enactment of the Amending Law 126 (I) / 2019 on Social Insurance on 05/08/2019, the received applications, by male applicants, of 2019 and 2020 are examined.

11. Funeral Aid:

For the cases where the deceased received a widow's pension, the received applications are examined September – October 2020.

For cases where the deceased received a statutory pension, did not have a spouse and the request for funeral assistance comes from another person who undertook the funeral expenses, the received applications September – October 2020 are examined.

For cases where the deceased received a social pension, the received applications in August 2020 are examined.

For other cases (eg the deceased was / was not retired and had a spouse, the deceased was not retired and did not have a spouse, the deceased was a young person, unmarried, and the application comes from the parent or his / her siblings, the deceased was missing) the received applications are examined in August 2020.

12. Orphan Allowance: Applications received in October – November 2020 are examined.

13. Childbirth Aid: The received applications are examined until 03/08/2020.

14. Maternity Allowance:

For the first payment, the received applications are examined until 19/10/2020.

For continuous payments, applications for which the necessary information has been submitted (eg birth certificate) received in October 2020 are considered.

15. Paternity Allowance: The received applications are examined until 22/06/2020.

16. Applications for statutory pension, widowhood and incapacity paid under bilateral conventions and European Union Regulation 883/04:

Statutory Pension: Examines applications for which responses have been received regarding details, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions, for applicants with a date of birth of 1954–1957.

Disability Pension: Applications received in January 2021 are reviewed.

Widow's Pension: The applications received in January 2021 are examined, for which answers have been received regarding data, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions.

Orphan Allowance: Examines applications received in May 2020 for which responses have been received regarding details, certificates and insurance accounts from other institutions.

17. Criminal Cases: In November 2020 (latest data) 517 criminal cases were pending, of which 245 concerned employers and 272 concerned self-employed.
