CLOSURE OF MAKARIO AVENUE – FAST RISE
Friday June 3, 2023 until Wednesday, June 7, 2023
Traffic from Grigori Auxentiou Avenue to Archbishop Makariou Avenue C’ will be cut off at the intersection in spite of the Costa Cafe, with a mandatory route towards Kimonos or Lordou Byronos street, from 4.00 p.m. – 2.00 am
The traffic from Archbishop Makariou Avenue C’ towards Grigori Auxentiou Avenue, will be cut off at the junction with Kosti Palamas Street, with a mandatory route towards Kostis Palamas Street, from 4:00 p.m. – 2.00 a.m.
Traffic from Zenonos Kitieos Street to Archbishop Makariou Avenue C’ will be cut off at the junction of Vasileos Pavlou Street and Grigori Auxentiou Avenue, with a mandatory route towards Grigori Auxentiou Avenue, from 4.00 p.m. – 2.00 am
Parking in the Ports Authority Parking lot will be free. In Municipal Parking Areas and parking meters, it will be free from 6:00 p.m. and after. Excluding the Municipal Parking Areas of the Mackenzie area and the Tasos Mistopoulos Ave.
The public is informed that during the days when Athens Avenue will be closed due to the Feast of the Flood, a section of Filios Zannetou Street will be removed from its junction with Zenonos Kitioos Street until the entrance of the Lefkaritis parking area, for the purposes of entering and parking in the area in question.
During the period of the above arrangements, the appropriate traffic signals, prohibition and directional detour signs will be placed. At the same time, all necessary measures will be taken for the smooth movement of emergency vehicles, as’ throughout the duration of the temporary traffic arrangements.
It is emphasized that illegal parking will be reported. During the time that Athens Avenue will be closed, parking will be prohibited and vehicles will be towed.
