APOEL drew 0-0 with Levski Sofias
APOEL drew 0-0 with Levski Sofias in the third friendly on Bulgarian soil. Sa Pinto has drawn his conclusions and now everyone in the team is focused on tomorrow's friendly (11:30) with Beitar.
In the first half of the half Levski was better and moved the ball more. The Bulgarian team was more aggressive than APOEL and created some good phases. The “blue-and-yellow” picked up the pace around the middle of the first half and circulated the ball better, creating some conditions for goals. The best moment for the Sa Pinto team came in the 35th minute. Fetfatzidis tried to score with a direct free kick, the Levski keeper made a save and in the restart Chebak in front of an empty goal sent the ball over the crossbar.
In the replay, the Bulgarian team again entered more aggressively. The Sa Pinto side were trying to create some conditions but were finding it difficult to come up with claims outside the Lefksi area. The first good moment for the “blue and yellow” in the second half came in the 61st minute with a shot by Sacias from outside the area which ended up going wide. Two minutes later, the young midfielder made an excellent cross to Kvilitaia who shot diagonally but missed the target. The Georgian came within a breath of the goal in the 73rd minute when with a strong shot from outside the area he sent the ball a few centimeters past the right vertical post of the Levski goalkeeper.
0-0 was also the final score. The Sa Pinto team played against an opponent who is in a better state of readiness. From time to time, APOEL brought out some automations, but it still needs work to get to where the Portuguese coach wants. Ziefte Vital made his unofficial debut, who entered the game in the 64th minute.
