With the participation of the Ministry of Health the 5th Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon

The 5th Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon which takes place on Sunday, November 20, with a record number of participants, welcomes thousands of runners from Cyprus and abroad, according to a press release of the organizers. In the 5th Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon, the Minister will run of Health, Michalis Hatzipantela and the Honorary President of PASP Spyros Neofitidis.  

In the press release it is added that all five routes are “sold out” from Thursday.

It is further reported that athletes from 75 countries will take part in the 5th Radisson Blu International Larnaca Marathon, while more than 150 companies have registered for the 5 km team marathon.

Sunday's racing program starts with the basic route of the Marathon Road (42.195 km), the Half Marathon (21.095 km) and the 10 km road race. Here are the routes of the 5 km road race and the 5 km corporate race, where teams and companies from all over Cyprus will test their limits. The day ends with the Fun Race 1 km for adults and the McDonald's™ Kids Race 1 km, where hundreds of children will flood the Finikoudes beach, as in every event.

Twenty-two visually impaired runners from Jerusalem and Haifa and the team called EYE CONTACT ISRAEL, which consists of blind athletes, visually impaired athletes and their volunteer companions, are taking part. All the runners will have the opportunity to complete their effort with the guidance of their companions through the use of a special zone that connects the two athletes, the press release states.

It is added that this year's event will be brightened by the in the presence of Greek Gold Olympian Lefteris Petrounias and Mega Channel presenter Petros Polychronidis.

The Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon “runs” and supports the Special Olympics, the  Karaiskakeio Foundation, the Christina Apostolou Foundation and the Ronald McDonald's House of Charities Cyprus. In addition, Radisson Blu Larnaca International Marathon continues its partnership with the GivenGain Foundation, a global online fundraising platform.
