The 17-year-old who had collided with a vehicle in Xylofagos on Friday afternoon was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit of the Nicosia General Hospital.
According to the Police, the 17-year-old is on a ventilator , has serious injuries to his chest and abdomen which are considered life-threatening.
It is recalled that around three in the afternoon while the 17-year-old was riding an unknown type of motorcycle on Anastasi Manoli Street from the center of the village in the direction the former police station of Xylofagos, under circumstances which are being investigated, he collided with a vehicle which was moving in the same direction and was attempting a right turn according to its course.
From the collision, the 17-year-old was thrown onto the asphalt. An ambulance immediately went to the scene and rushed the 17-year-old to the General Hospital of Famagusta in Paralimni, where it was found that he had multiple internal bleedings and was immediately admitted to the operating room.
His health condition is considered very serious. The driver of the vehicle, who is a 72-year-old foreign resident of Xylofagos, underwent a breathalyzer test with a zero reading.
