A yellow warning for severe thunderstorms on Saturday, the Department of Meteorology issued Friday afternoon.
According to the warning, isolated strong storms are expected to affect areas mainly in the mountains, in the south and east, but also inland areas.
It adds that the storm may also bring hail, while winds are likely to shift and strengthen, with rainfall expected to range between 35 and 55 millimeters per hour.
The warning is in effect between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. local time, according to the National Weather Service.
