The warning is in effect from 12 noon until 4 pm, according to the Met Office.
The Cyprus Meteorological Service has issued a new yellow warning for today, for extremely high temperature.
According to its post, the warning comes into force from 12 noon until 4 in the afternoon.

Today the weather will be mostly clear but in the morning hours there will be increased low clouds, mainly on the west and south coasts. Winds will initially be variable, light 3 Beaufort to gradually become mainly southwest to northwest, light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and transient on the southern coast, up to strong 5 Beaufort. The sea will be somewhat rough. The temperature will rise to 41 degrees in the interior, to 32 on the western coasts, around 35 on the rest of the coasts and to 33 degrees in the higher mountains.
In the evening the weather will initially be mostly clear but gradually they will form increased low clouds, mainly in the interior and on the coasts, while in the morning hours it is possible to form locally thin fog or fog. Winds will blow mainly southwest to northwest, weak 3 Beaufort. The sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 23 degrees in the interior and the coasts and to 20 degrees in the higher mountains.
On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday the weather will be mostly sunny.
The temperature will gradually drop slightly, but will remain above climatic averages.
