As part of the investigation of a drug possession case, the Police proceeded yesterday to arrest three men, aged 26, 30 and 31 respectively.
Members of the Anti-Drug Service (Paphos Ladder), after evaluating information, stopped yesterday afternoon for control in an area of Paphos, a car driven by a 30-year-old, with a 31-year-old co-driver.
A subsequent search found 16 nylon packages inside the car, containing a quantity of cannabis, weighing a total of about 20 grams.
Also, in the possession of the 30-year-old driver, five credit cards (issued to other persons) and a sum of money were found, for which he did not give satisfactory explanations for their origin, as a result of which he was arrested for the self-inflicted crime of illegal possession of property.
A subsequent search of the 31-year-old co-driver's home in the presence of his 26-year-old roommate turned up another 16 nylon packages containing about 20 grams of cannabis, resulting in the arrest of both for a self-inflicted crime.
All three were arrested on bail and remanded in custody.
