The Police filed complaints against 169 citizens and 4 property owners for violating the measures against the spread of the coronavirus, in the last 24 hours, which ended at 6:00 this morning, as part of 14,000 inspections throughout free Cyprus.
According to a representative of the Police Communication Branch, by province, 3,711 inspections were carried out in Nicosia and 71 citizens and 2 premises were reported, while in Limassol there were 43 complaints from citizens and one premises, after 5,171 inspections.
In Larnaca, 1,133 inspections were carried out and 21 citizens were reported.
In Paphos, the Police reported 17 citizens and 1 premises for violating the measures against the spread of the coronavirus, after conducting 1,124 inspections. In Famagusta, 1,143 inspections were carried out and 10 citizens were reported.
856 checks were also carried out in the area of Morfos and 4 complaints were made by citizens, while 61 checks were made by the Port and Maritime Police without any complaints.
Finally, the Traffic Department carried out 844 inspections with 3 complaints from citizens, all over Cyprus, while the MMAD carried out 18 inspections without complaints.
