51 traffic complaints in’ one night in Paphos – The Traffic Report

In the context of a coordinated operation carried out on Saturday night by members of the Paphos Police Department, 51 traffic complaints were issued, most of which related to driving under the < strong>alcohol influence, according to Paphos police chief Nikos Tsapis.
According to Mr. Tsapis, of the 51 traffic complaints, 17 concern drivers who were under the influence of alcohol, two drivers were detected to drive under the influence of drugs while three vehicles were impounded. The rest of the traffic complaints concerned minor offences.
In addition, Mr. Tsapis said, a 25-year-old man was arrested who, during checks, was found to be driving his vehicle without a driver's license and without insurance.
Also. a search of the 25-year-old's car turned up a car engine that was reasonably suspected to be stolen.
