APOEL fans are eager for the new transfers announcements. For their part, the president Prodromos Petridis and his colleagues are confident that the last outstanding issues will be cleared up in time and (most importantly) with substantial additions, so that the champions are fully prepared and strengthened in their European obligations ( first match at GSP on Tuesday 23 July).
Since last week, contacts have started with forwards (2) and midfielders (10), who were suggested or positively evaluated by David Gaiego. The blue and yellow have given very good proposals to the players they are interested in and are waiting for their answers. From time to time, there may be a development – an announcement.
The players that will be acquired will definitely be in the team of the champions, which next Thursday, June 27,will travel to Serbia , for the second and basic stage of their preparation.
For the position of the “basic” center forward, they have not been leaked – the names of the 2 main candidates have been published. However, these are quality players, of known value and class. One of the two is in full, competitive readiness while the other is an active international.
Youssef El Arabi has now been removed from the list of candidates, since he did not respond to the excellent proposal made to him.
