Youtravel, a UK-based bed bank used by package holiday companies such as Loveholidays and Meeting Point, was affected by the bankruptcy.

Initially, Youtravel.com had announced the cancellation of all bookings until June 11. That date was later pushed back to July 5.

Now, the company has confirmed that holidays until July 26 will be cancelled, leaving thousands of travelers without accommodation and with an uncertain future for their holidays.

< p>Youtravel said: “Over the last three weeks, our management has been actively working with the appointed administrator of the FTI group and is in the process of mergers and acquisitions to secure our future.”

“While we hope to a positive conclusion to these talks soon, we have taken the difficult decision to cancel all bookings up to and including 26 July 2024.”

“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.”

It is estimated that up to 30,000 hotel bookings at Cyprus resorts have been affected, while 30 resorts in Spain are also affected.

In addition, holidays in Malta, the Morocco and Turkey also face cancellations.
