The Union of Bank Employees (ETYK), in a circular to the employees of KEDIPES, invites them next Monday, 8/11/2021, at 15:30 to General Meetings in order to be informed about the Voluntary Retirement Plan and to be authorized to strike measures if deemed necessary.
ETYK states that as informed by the management of the company, the number of employees who chose the Voluntary Retirement Plan of KEDIPES, was not the desired one for the Company, therefore and as it stated, it is considering the possibility of going into redundancies.
“As you know, our Organization had submitted its suggestions from the very beginning in order for the Plan to be attractive and to increase the chances of satisfaction of the colleagues. The Company unfortunately ignored our suggestions. “We had warned the Company that if it did not improve the Plan, it would not resonate with colleagues and unfortunately we have confirmed it once again,” it said. It is added that the “failure” of the Plan is due to the Management of the Company and to those who agreed that this would satisfy colleagues.
“Everyone knows the position of the beginning of our Organization, that it does not accept surpluses, a position which we reminded in writing to the Company. “We also warned the Company that we are determined to proceed with strike measures in the event of a surplus,” it said.
It is added that in any case that any Company / Bank in the area wishes to reduce the number of its staff, this can only be done through an attractive Voluntary Retirement Plan.
“Our Organization will not accept the victimization of its members, due to the mishandling of the Management”, it is emphasized.
