The President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis is going to Paris tomorrow, where he will participate in the 4th Paris Peace Forum, the Conference on Libya and the 41st Session of the General Conference of UNESCO, as well as the events for the 75th anniversary of the Organization. which will take place successively on 11 – 13 November.
Specifically, President Anastasiadis will participate in the work of the Peace Forum, which will examine international initiatives to address the social and economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
Among other things, issues related to efforts to tackle the pandemic, maintain international cooperation for world peace, global governance in the field of health, climate change, cybersecurity, tackling the phenomenon of misinformation will be discussed. , threats against journalists, gender equality and more.
The Conference on Libya will be held on 12 November, convened by the President of France, Emanuel Macron, with the participation of the leaders of the region – including President Anastasiadis, who will intervene – in view of the upcoming elections. to be held in Libya next December.
During his stay in the French capital, the President of the Republic will attend a dinner hosted by Heads of State, UNESCO Secretary-General Ondre Azoule at the 41st General Conference of UNESCO to be held in November in Paris.
