Police in Larnaca arrested three people to facilitate the investigation into an investigated case of burglary and theft.

The case was reported last Sunday morning (25/7/2021) by a construction contractor, who stated that between July 24 and 25, unknown individuals broke into his warehouse, located in Larnaca province, and stole an electricity generator. and number of power tools.

Shortly after the complaint, information was received that a car without registration plates, in which three people were riding, was moving suspiciously in the area of Oroklini. Police members immediately went to the area, where they located and stopped the vehicle in question.

When the vehicle stopped, the driver fled. The other two passengers, aged 40, as well as the vehicle were taken to the Oroklini Police Station for examination.

During a search of the car, a power tool was found which was later identified as one of the tools stolen from the warehouse. As a result, the two 40-year-olds were arrested for a self-inflicted crime and detained for facilitating interrogations.

As for the driver of the car, as it turned out, he is a 35-year-old resident of Larnaca. An arrest warrant was issued against him, under which he was arrested yesterday and detained.

At the same time, the police investigation revealed that the car in which the three arrested were riding was allegedly related to cases of theft of catalytic converters, committed in the last two months in the province of Larnaca.

Oroklini Police Station is investigating the case.
