Hartsiotis contacts in Athens, memorandum of cooperation with Greece for equality and gender-based violence – The deeds of the contacts Min. of Justice in Athens
Cyprus and Greece have agreed to conclude a memorandum of cooperation regarding issues of equality and gender-based violence, in the context of a working visit by the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Marios < strong>Hartsiotis, in Athens.
Today, Mr. Hartsiotis had meetings with Ministers of the Greek Government. More specifically, during today's second day of his visit, Mr. Hartsiotis met successively with the Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrysochoidis and the Minister of Social Cohesion and Family Sofia Zaharakis.
In the context of the meeting with Mr. Chrysochoidis, the two Ministers exchanged views on the strengthening of cooperation between Cyprus and Greece in matters concerning organized crime, terrorism and immigration.
At the same time, the two Ministers they confirmed the excellent bilateral relations and agreed on the further deepening of the cooperation in matters related to the competence of the two Ministries.
During the meeting with Mrs. Zaharaki, it was agreed to conclude a memorandum of cooperation regarding issues of equality and gender-based violence, which concerns the exchange of know-how, best practices and the promotion of common actions.
Mr. Hartsiotis sent an invitation to Ms. Zacharakis to visit Cyprus, on the occasion of the signing of the memorandum, which she accepted. .
