In his statements after the session, Mr. Kettiros stated that they started the & nbsp; discussion on the two bills concerning the amendment of the Laws on the Central Body of Equal Burden and on the transfer and mortgage of real estate.

From then until today, he added, € 15.4 million should have been collected for the benefit of the Equal Weight Loss Agency, which could allocate them to various projects, such as for the education of some children in need, or even to compensate for the loss of use of occupied property in the occupied areas, in accordance with the legislation passed last Thursday.

“Therefore, this money will be used for the benefit of the refugee world and for this reason “We are very concerned to move forward as soon as possible to complete the discussion and the voting of these bills,” said Mr. Kettiros.

He pointed out that the Commission had some reservations about the specific provisions of the two bills, such as the fact that the 0.4% to be paid for real estate sold in the free & nbsp; areas, relates to the last estimated value of the property & nbsp from the Land Registry, which was in 2018. For example, as he said, if a tower is built in 2019 or 2020 on a plot, the fee that will be paid will be 0.4% on the plot, and not on the tower.

He also stated that the Tax Department will collect the fee that will be paid to the Equal Burden Distribution Agency and that a collection certificate will be issued which will be a prerequisite for the transfer of real estate.

Nikos Georgiou, MP of DISY, stated that the procrastination of decades and the temporary nature of the deteriorating situation, “are no longer an excuse for the State to proceed immediately to the return of a fair and permanent request of decades for the refugee world.”

The MP, Michalis Giakoumi, said that the philosophy of the two amendments to the bills finds them “absolutely in agreement” as DIPA – Cooperation.
