The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance announces the Invitation for applications under the Sponsorship Plan the “New Incentive Scheme for the Employment of People with Disabilities” and may be co-financed by the European Social Democracy (EKT +) and the Cyprus Program 2021-2027 Policy Objective 4. The Plan aims to provide aid-sponsorships to companies to facilitate the recruitment of persons belonging to the target group, as defined in the Plan, unemployed persons with Disabilities (as defined above) registered with the Public Employment Service (PES) before the date of recruitment and is included in the measures of active employment policies promoted by the Government to fight poverty and social exclusion , in particular with regard to the active integration of vulnerable groups of the population in the labor market.

The method of simplified cost forms will be used to calculate the amount of the sponsorship. The cost unit for this Grant Plan is set at € 52 / working day and corresponds to the amount of sponsorship that each beneficiary will receive for each working day to be completed by the beneficiary, regardless of the actual salary costs borne by the employer / beneficiary. The sponsorship will be granted for twenty-four (24) months of employment.
The total amount that will be allocated for the needs of this call is two million euros (€ 2,000,000).

It is noted that applications are accepted from 8/11/2021 until the end of the fund or announcement for the end of the Plan . The Ministry of Labor, Welfare and Social Insurance may extend or revoke the validity of this invitation by applying the same method of its publication.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Labor announces the termination of receipt of applications in the framework of the “Incentive Plan for the Recruitment of Persons with Disabilities “ , 02 / 3.9.1.1 / 1 / 10.2016 / SCH, on Friday 5/11/2021 at 15:00, due to exhaustion of the amount of the item.
