We must not forget the history of our nation and the struggles for peace and justice, said the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works Yannis Karousos in his greeting in a tribute to the anniversary of October 28 1940 held at the Panagiotis Toumazos Refugee Association.
According to the GTP, Mr. Karousos emphasized that as a state we have the sacred duty to pass on the flame of history to the younger generations.
Finally, thank the President of the Association, Mr. Patera, and the President of the Community Council, Mr. Prodromos, for the actions and efforts they are making to keep the nation's struggles in the memory of the citizens.
Besides, earlier, the Minister of Transport attended the naming ceremony of Episkopi's 14th street on "Panagiotis Tomazou" avenue.
The street adjoins the National Union. Afterwards, wreaths were laid on the bust of the hero.
