In the last 24 hours, the Police reported 213 citizens and three owners of premises, as part of the controls for the observance of the measures against the spread of the coronavirus.
As a representative of the Communication Branch of the Police Headquarters stated in KYPE, from 6.00 on Friday morning until 6.00 on Saturday morning, 12,754 checks were carried out
In Nicosia, 3,506 checks were carried out and 51 citizens were reported. In Limassol, the Police carried out 2,303 checks and reported 63 citizens, while in Larnaca, 2,088 checks were carried out and 43 complaints were made by citizens.
In Paphos, the police carried out 1,408 inspections and reported 24 citizens and two property owners, and in Famagusta, 1,465 inspections were carried out and 28 complaints were made by citizens and one complaint by a property owner. In Morphou, 1,280 checks were carried out and four citizens were reported.
The Traffic Police made 610 checks without any complaints.
The MMAD carried out 17 checks without any complaints, and the Port and Maritime Police 77 checks without anyone reporting.
