New yellow warning for high temperatures, issued by the Department of Meteorology.

The maximum temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius inland and around 33 degrees Celsius in the higher mountains.

The warning will be in effect from 12:00 noon Friday until 4:00 p.m.

The weather forecast

Seasonal low pressure affects the area. Tonight the weather will be mostly clear while the atmosphere will be light dust. During the morning hours, it is possible to form locally thin fog and low clouds mainly in the west and southeast. Winds will be mainly northwest to northeast weak, 3 Beaufort and the sea will be calm to a little rough. The temperature will drop to around 25 degrees in the interior, the southern and eastern coasts and around 24 on the western and northern coasts as well as in the higher mountains.

Civil Defense recommendations for precautionary measures against high temperatures

Public Defense is making recommendations to the public due to the high temperatures, with the aim of prevention and proper preparation to minimize the risks and negative consequences from the heat.

Specifically, according to the Civil Defense, unnecessary movement and heavy physical work under the sun, sunbathing, walking for a long time or running under the sun and crowded places should be avoided.

< p data-block-key="fof3l">The public is asked to wear cool, comfortable and light-colored clothing, to protect the head with a hat, and to wear good quality sunglasses that protect against the sun's glare.

< p data-block-key="6role">Also eat small and light meals, rich in fruits and vegetables and low in fat, drink plenty of water and fruit and vegetable juices, and avoid alcoholic beverages.
