The new measures decided by the government yesterday, in an attempt to stop the coronavirus cases, provoked a strong reaction from the owners of the entertainment centers.
The president of the Pancyprian Association of Entertainment Centers, Nikos Vassilios, stated on state television that the rulers with the new measures have fraudulently abolished, in his expression, the existence of clubs and music and dance centers.
He stressed that there are catastrophic cancellations by customers for the 25 nightclubs, which have opened after the quarantine ended.
Mr. Vassiliou said that either the clubs should be closed and the government should compensate the owners, or the nightclubs should work with a rapid 24-hour test for the customers, or the measure should be implemented after January 3rd.
He added that the Association of Entertainment Centers is in constant contact with the Ministry of Health on the issue.
