The President of the Republic will have a meeting with the General Secretary of the Council of Europe
The President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Christodoulidis will have a meeting on July 1, at the Presidential Palace, with the Secretary General of the Council of Europe Mrs. Marija Pejčinović Burić, who will pay an official visit to Cyprus from June 30 to July 2. The The Secretary General of the Council of Europe will have a private meeting with the President of the Republic which will be followed by a working lunch.
During the meeting, among other things, issues concerning the agenda of the Council of Europe, the situation in Cyprus and the ongoing efforts to restart the dialogue, the management of aspects of the of the 4th Cyprus Interstate Appeal against Turkey, the Turkish violations of the status quo of the besieged city of Famagusta, as well as the situation in Ukraine and the Middle East >.
As part of her official visit, the Secretary General of the Council of Europe will give a lecture to the members of the Diplomatic Academy and will have a meeting with the President of the House of Representatives, as well as with the Mayor of Nicosia.
The General Assembly of the Council of Europe will depart from Cyprus on the morning of July 2nd
