A tragedy almost happened today with a Greek paratrooper, who was hanging for about 4 minutes from a C-130.
According to the MEGA report, the plane took off from Larnaca airport for training.
When it reached an altitude of 5,000 feet (1.52 kilometers), the fall began the parachutists with static belt. The first man stepped off the side of the C-130.
But the belt did not open the parachute, leaving the paratrooper hanging in space for several minutes, 4.5 meters from the aircraft – that is, as long as the length of the belt.
