The need to demonstrate the maximum possible responsibility and strict observance of the measures of distancing and personal hygiene in view of the reopening of Retail Trade from 8/2/2021 emphasizes the CCCI.
The CCCI calls on businesses, employees and consumers who will return to the market from next Monday to ensure that with the responsible behavior of all we will contribute to the operation of all sectors and professions while creating the conditions for others to reopen sectors of the economy.
Until the Ministry of Health's vaccination program can cover a significant percentage of the population, personal hygiene measures and strict adherence to the rules of distancing are the only weapon against the spread of the virus. In order to keep transmissibility rates low and further reduce the number of cases, thus allowing the gradual reopening of the economy and businesses as a whole, whose resilience is almost zero, we must all show a high sense of responsibility and not create the conditions to return to an extended lock-down.
The CCCI points out that neither the economy, nor the companies nor the employees can withstand such a development again. Therefore, we must not, on our own, possibly destroy in a few days what with sacrifices and deprivation it took 3 weeks to achieve.
Finally, we call for the systematic attendance of citizens at the sampling points in order to have a high tracking rate among the community that allows the timely detection of positive cases, essential for the smooth operation of the economy.
