In order to bring the children closer to the church, the Christmas village was inaugurated on Saturday in the Diocese of Tamasos and Orinis.
In an announcement it is stated that the Christmas village will be open to the public until January 6 and on the weekends it will be enriched with a multitude of activities.
Yesterday there were performances, activities, face painting, jugglers and Santa Claus with his gifts spread smiles on little children.
The Archbishop of the Holy Metropolis, Father Theodoros, stated that the Christmas village has been opening its gates for 5 years, giving the message of joy and peace.
« We want to give the message that the Metropolis does not belong to some priests, it is the Metropolis of the people and therefore the people come here to find their own home and in this, their own home to feel joy and love of Christmas», he said.
