We will continue to be constant helpers in the actions of the Nicosia Youth Ballet, said the Deputy Minister of Culture, Dr. Vasiliki, Kassianidou, during the opening of the Nicosia Youth Ballet facilities, on Friday.
“The Nicosia Youth Ballet, an organization that has been active for 25 consecutive years, has undoubtedly made a significant contribution to the field of classical ballet in Cyprus,” said Ms. Kassianidou, adding that “it is no coincidence that from the nursery of the Nicosia Youth Ballet they have exceptional talents were born, who spread their wings and continued their studies in the best academies abroad”.
Since 1999, continued the Deputy Minister of Culture, the Nicosia Youth Ballet has given its dancers the opportunity to receive the joy and satisfaction of participating in a high-level event, but also the opportunity for personal improvement through healthy competition, participating in the established its annual performances.
“From 2023, the multifaceted cooperation of the Deputy Ministry with the Nicosia Youth Ballet was put into a new and upgraded context, while our goal is to further strengthen it, so that it can implement to the maximum his vision”, stressed Ms. Kassianidou.
“The securing and upgrading of the space that we are inaugurating tonight has been done with the support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture, so that the Ballet can have suitable facilities, properly equipped and with plenty of space, which can host their team and carry out their work without any obstacles”, he added.
After congratulating the Nicosia Youth Ballet and its members “for their overall work over the years and for the guidance and love they generously offered to the young members of the Ballet”, the Deputy Minister of Culture promised that “we will continue to be constant helpers and supporters of his actions”.
