A 30-year-old woman from Hungary, who was carried away, late on Thursday afternoon, by a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old woman, on Franklin Roosevelt Avenue, in Limassol, is hospitalized in an extremely critical condition, intubated, at the General Hospital of Nicosia .
As Limassol assistant traffic officer Emilios Kafas said at the scene, the accident occurred around 6:30 p.m., "in which a car moving on the street hit and dragged a pedestrian crossing the street".
The injured woman was taken to the Limassol General Hospital where it was found that she had suffered a severe brain injury and brain hematoma and had to be intubated and transferred to the Nicosia General Hospital.
«The police are in the initial stages of examinations to ascertain the exact circumstances under which the accident occurred”, added Mr. Kafas.
The 45-year-old driver was arrested to facilitate the investigations, while she underwent a breathalyzer and drug test, with a negative result.< /p>
