In January 2021, the price index of construction materials presented an annual increase of 2.88%, while on a monthly basis it moves upwards for the fifth consecutive month.
According to data from the Statistical Service, the index of construction materials for the month of January 2021 amounted to 103.89 points (base 2015 = 100.00), recording an increase of 1.67% compared to the previous month.
Compared to the corresponding month of the previous year, the index recorded an increase of 2.88%.
According to the Statistical Service, by main product category, increases were recorded in metal products (8.39%), electromechanical items (1.68%), wood products, insulation, chemicals and plastics (0.49%), in minerals (0.27%) and in mineral products (0.13%).
