Tragic scenes unfolded shortly before 14:00 noon on Tuesday (9.1.2024) at the hospital in Veria, where the grandparents of a six-month-old baby carried him dead after he had killed him his mother. The 37-year-old woman was arrested by the authorities.
According to the testimonies of people who were there, the grandfather and grandmother went to the hospital in a state of insanity, with the little boy, their daughter's child, in their arms them.
The infant was clearly abused. Already, since his arrival at the hospital, he had no pulse, while he showed no reaction. According to information, the 37-year-old strangled her child, who suffered serious injuries.
The grandparents said that their daughter had strong psychological problems and suffered from severe depression, while according to information, she had been hospitalized in a psychiatric clinic. The woman, 37 years old, resident of Makrohori and mother of two other minor children, was arrested and detained.
The police are investigating the exact circumstances of the tragic event.
