A 43-year-old man was admitted to Paphos General Hospital after being attacked on Wednesday by three people in connection with financial disputes that they allegedly had between them. Arrest warrants have been issued against two persons, aged 49 and 23, while the third person is being investigated to verify his identity.
According to the Spokesperson of ADE Paphos and Head of TAE Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou, on Wednesday at 21:15 information was received that there was an injured person in the area of Tremithousa. A police patrol went to the scene where the 43-year-old, who lives in a local residence, was found to have injuries. The 43-year-old reported that a little earlier, while he was there with his friends, his compatriots, aged 49 and 23, went to the spot by car, as well as a third, unknown person, who allegedly attacked him.
From further investigations by the Police, it became clear that the complainant allegedly had financial disputes with the persons.
The three fled the scene on foot, leaving there their car, which was picked up by the Police. The complainant went to the Accident and Emergency Department of the General Hospital of Paphos and according to the doctor on duty, he has a bruise on his face.
Arrest warrants were issued against the two persons and they are wanted. as a case of conspiracy to commit a crime and misdemeanor, illegal entry into foreign property, extortion of money with threats, assault with provocation of actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive organ is being investigated. The examinations of the Police continue by the TAE Paphos.
